sketches from Buenos Aires!

I just spent a week in Argentina! Buenos Aires is gorgeous city - I'll have to post photos later. But in the meantime, some sketches:

This is how I taught myself to read a Spanish menu =) Mmm, Bife... mmmm, empanadas de choclo y calabazas, mmm helados...

People watching at Iguazu Falls. Iguazu Falls = Perfection!

I was drawing animals at the Jardin Zoological when I found myself surrounded by an entire field trip of little Argentinian kids.. so I started pointing to each drawn animal and asking "¿QuĂ© es esto? " (What is that?) Soon I had the entire group spelling out animal names in Spanish for me. So cute!

Portrait of me by Josh Park. Enough said.

this is a little late, but i love spring in cleveland for all the magnolia and cherry trees in bloom.

i'm practicing to be ambidextrous, so the first page is my left hand writing. (i drew the second page with my right hand...i'm not that good.) once i can write and draw proficiently with both hands, i'll be unstoppable!
